I’m Alexa, a Chicago-based wedding photographer offering honest, documentary-style coverage for laid-back, creative couples — including LGBTQIA+ folks — who want their wedding captured with intention and heart.
Using a mix of digital, 35mm film, and nostalgic Super 8 videography, I create wedding photos and films that feel like memories — unscripted, romantic, and real. My wedding photography packages start at $3000 and are designed for couples who value emotion over poses and timeless imagery over trends.
Whether you’re planning a bold city celebration, a garden ceremony, or a queer, offbeat lovefest — I’m here to tell your story exactly as it is: authentic, joyful, and entirely your own.
Love is love — and all identities, expressions, and relationship styles are celebrated here. I’m proud to serve the LGBTQIA+ community with inclusive, affirming wedding photography that honors your story.
More about me and my life…
My absolute favorite thing about living in Chicago is the proximity to Lake Michigan. I grew up in Michigan and always went to the beach on hot summer days. I never imagined that I would live so close to it and get to go everyday! Last summer my family vacationed up in Northport, MI and we would take our dog Pierogi to the beach to start and end each day. I realized that watching her splash, play and explore brings me the most joy and inspired me so much on our trip. It has been the most wholesome and heartwarming thing to watch Pierogi at the Chicago beaches after healing from her ACL surgeries this winter.
I absolutely love cooking and exploring new restaurants. As a gluten free girlie I’ve found the life hack of the century. I can eat flour imported from Italy. For whatever reason the flour doesn’t affect me the same and most traditional Italian restaurants use imported flour. A goal of mine for the year is to start compiling a list of restaurants that use Italian flour, so my other gf buddies can try it out without the plane ticket to Italy.
My favorite dish that I’ve cooked at home lately was for Mother’s Day Brunch. I made my family Baby Tamagoo’s Blueberry Lemon Ricotta Blintzes and they were a hit! My mom asked me if we could have them for Mother’s Day every year.
I can’t wait to get to know you better. I am so lucky to be included in such precious times in my client’s lives. It never gets old capturing those special moments.
